Today, Haute Horologe we\u2019ll be reviewing the Franck Muller Vanguard’s Chronograph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You might have witnessed the brand new Franck Muller Vanguard<\/a><\/strong> wrist presence among thousands of people. Hence, if you are looking for something that you can tuck away under a cuff, discreetly, look elsewhere. This is a 16mm thick statement timepiece, but don\u2019t let that frighten you. If you\u2019re the type that needs something a bit avant-garde on the wrist, you\u2019re going to like what you study next. Weighing just 44mm x 53mm, this barrel-shaped tonneau case has a smooth PVD coated black matte finish and is built of stainless steel with a glossy 18kt rose gold sandwich embed. However, what is most attractive about this design rests in the front of the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bold rose gold touched numerals complementing the vertically brushed slate grey dial and are blazing on the outside towards the edge of the dial in a serif style typeface ordinarily discovered on Franck Muller watches<\/a>. There is a silvery dial spine that has a lettered tachymetric scale. A jet-black section at the border of the dial has the second’s track imprinted finely in white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The chronograph sub-dial and the tiny seconds sub-dial are nourished and have a slender radial ribbed texture. These sub-registers use radiant rose gold hands and are molded in black with white rules and have a rose gold frame. At the 6 o\u2019clock position of the dial, you\u2019ll notice a round-shaped, rose gold-rimmed date window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Solid and bold partly skeletonized hour and minute hands are created of rose gold and have a brushed polish with a section that is loaded with luminous material. The central chronograph seconds hand is created of the same material and had the same finish but with a red-painted arrowhead tip with luminous fill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the interior of the case, you will encounter a wonderful caliber that is exquisitely polished with C\u00f4tes de Gen\u00e8ve, orbicular graining, and rhodium plating. Though, this watch has a thick case back so hitting at the mechanical movement will only be feasible if the case back is discarded. The 27-jewel mechanism that powers this timepiece is the self-winding Franck Muller FM-7000 caliber which is a 4Hz mechanical inclination beating at 28,800 VPH, with a potential reserve of approximately 48 hours. Its innovations include a chronograph hour, minute, date, and seconds hand. The back of the case has a vertically polished shine and is embedded with the Franck Muller logo and the tagline \u201cMaster of Complications\u201d, the number of the defined edition, and the reference number. The right side of the case will confer a black PVD coated crown with a rose gold endcap that is embossed with a polished Frank Muller logo. This pretty piece of horology is attached to your wrist with a soft and comfortable mauve-grey rubber band which has a mild to the touch calfskin leather cover with rose gold accent stitching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This band has a matte black PVD glazed folding buckle with a rose gold medallion on the hook with the Franck Muller logo designed in the same fashion as on the endcap of the winding crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In summary, this is a timepiece for is beautifully designed, modern, artistic, and has a fine wrist presence for those looking for a watch that has some.
